Privacy Policy

Effective date: 26 July 2026  •  Last updated: 26 July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how CD Software & Apps ("we", "us", or "the developer") handles information when you use the Card Wallet mobile application (the "App").

Privacy at a glance: Card Wallet is designed to work offline. We do not operate an account system, advertising network, analytics service, or developer server for storing your cards.

1. Information handled by the App

The App lets you enter and store loyalty-card information, including a card name, barcode or QR-code value, display preferences, and usage information used for local sorting. This information is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us.

Card Wallet is intended for loyalty cards, membership cards, customer cards, and similar barcode or QR-code based cards. It is not intended for payment cards, banking credentials, passwords, government identification documents, or other sensitive financial information.

2. Information we collect or share

We do not collect, sell, rent, or share personal information through the App. We do not receive your stored card data, scans, backup files, or usage history.

The App does not include advertising or developer-operated analytics. If this changes in a future version, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before the change is released.

3. Local storage and retention

Your cards and App settings remain on your device in the App's local storage. They remain there until you delete individual cards, clear the App's data, uninstall the App, restore a different backup, or otherwise remove the data through your device.

Because we do not receive this local data, we cannot view, recover, or delete it remotely.

4. Camera access

When you choose the camera scanning feature, the App requests camera access so it can detect a barcode or QR code. Camera frames are processed for scanning and are not uploaded to us. The App does not use the camera in the background and does not intentionally save photographs or video recordings.

5. Images selected from your device

When you choose to scan a code from an existing image, the App uses the system file or photo picker. The App accesses only the file you select for the purpose of detecting a barcode or QR code. The selected image is not uploaded to us.

6. Backup and restore

Backup and restore actions are started manually by you. A backup file may contain the card information stored in the App. You choose where that file is saved and are responsible for protecting it. The App does not automatically upload backups to a cloud service.

If you choose a third-party storage provider through Android's system interface, that provider handles the file according to its own privacy policy and your account settings.

7. Sharing a card

When you use the Share feature, the App creates an image containing the selected card's name, barcode or QR code, and code value. Android then displays its system sharing interface. The destination you choose, such as a messaging, email, or cloud-storage app, receives the shared image under that service's own terms and privacy policy.

Sharing is always initiated by you. We do not receive a copy of the shared image.

8. Permissions

Depending on your device and Android version, Card Wallet may request or use access needed for camera scanning, user-selected files or images, local file creation, and Android's sharing interface. Permissions are used only for the feature you activate.

9. Security

We design the App to minimize data exposure by keeping card information local. However, no device or storage method is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, backups, and any card images you choose to share.

10. Third-party software and services

The App is built with Flutter and uses software libraries that provide functions such as barcode scanning, file selection, local preferences, screen brightness control, QR/barcode rendering, and Android sharing. These components may interact with Android system services to perform the action you request. We remain responsible for keeping our disclosures consistent with the App's actual behavior.

11. Children's privacy

Card Wallet is a general-audience utility and is not specifically directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children or any other users.

12. International use

The App may be used in different countries. Because the App keeps its data locally and does not transmit it to a developer-operated server, we do not perform international transfers of your stored card information.

13. Your choices and data deletion

You can delete a card from within the App. You can delete all locally stored App data through your Android settings or by uninstalling the App. Card Wallet does not create user accounts, so there is no online account to delete.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App or legal requirements change. The updated version will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
