These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Card Wallet mobile application (the "App"), provided by CD Software & Apps ("we", "us", or "the developer").
1. Purpose of the App
Card Wallet is a utility for storing and displaying loyalty cards, membership cards, customer cards, and similar barcode or QR-code based cards. The App is not a payment service, digital banking product, identity wallet, or secure password manager.
2. Eligibility and lawful use
You may use the App only in compliance with applicable law and the rules of the card issuer or program concerned. You must have the right to store, display, scan, and share any card information you enter.
3. Licence
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the App for personal or internal business purposes on devices that you own or control.
You may not copy, resell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, modify, distribute, or exploit the App except where applicable law expressly permits it.
4. Your data and backups
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information stored in the App and for maintaining suitable backups. Data is primarily stored locally on your device. We do not operate a remote recovery service and cannot restore data that is lost, deleted, corrupted, or removed with the App.
Backup files may contain card names and barcode or QR-code values. You are responsible for storing those files securely and for controlling access to them.
5. Camera, image import, and scanning
Scanning results may vary depending on lighting, image quality, device hardware, code format, screen condition, and the retailer's scanner. You must verify that a detected or entered code is correct before relying on it.
6. Card sharing
The Share feature creates an image containing information from the selected card and passes it to Android's sharing interface. You are solely responsible for selecting recipients and services, confirming that you are authorised to share the card, and understanding that a recipient may save, copy, forward, or use the shared code.
Do not share a card if doing so would violate the issuer's terms, another person's rights, or applicable law.
7. Third-party cards, brands, and services
Card Wallet is an independent application. Unless expressly stated, it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or operated by any retailer, loyalty program, card issuer, brand, messaging provider, cloud provider, or device manufacturer.
Names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and may be used only to help users identify their own cards. Availability, acceptance, and operation of a loyalty card remain controlled by its issuer.
8. No guarantee of acceptance or availability
We do not guarantee that every barcode or QR code will scan, that every retailer will accept a digital representation, or that the App will be compatible with every device, Android version, or third-party service.
9. Updates and changes
We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features of the App. Updates may be required for compatibility, reliability, security, or policy compliance. We are not obligated to maintain any particular feature indefinitely.
10. Intellectual property
The App, its original design, source code, documentation, and branding are owned by or licensed to CD Software & Apps and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, and non-infringement.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CD Software & Apps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, access, opportunity, savings, revenue, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
We are not responsible for losses caused by an incorrect scan, unauthorised sharing, device failure, deleted data, a third-party app or service, a retailer's refusal to accept a digital card, or changes made by a card issuer.
These limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law and do not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims or losses resulting from your unlawful use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your unauthorised storage or sharing of another person's card information.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time. We may terminate or restrict your licence if you materially violate these Terms. Upon termination, you must stop using the App.
15. Governing law and consumer rights
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the developer, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available under the laws of their country of residence. Any dispute should first be raised with us using the contact details below.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the App, our practices, or legal requirements change. The updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.
